For Samantha, design has never been just about making things look good. It's about figuring out why certain things make us look twice—and why others stick with us long after we've looked away. Her creative world lives somewhere between instinct and intention. A love for typography, illustration, bold composition, unexpected details, and ideas that push things a little further is balanced by an equally strong curiosity about the strategy underneath it all. Why does one brand become the place everyone recommends? Why does one package practically beg to be picked up? Why can a business with an incredible product still struggle to get noticed? Those are the questions that keep the wheels turning.

As the designer, strategist, and creative director behind Draft One Studios, Samantha works directly with business owners to uncover what makes their business worth paying attention to—and translate it into a brand people can see, feel, connect to, and remember.

Draft One Studios is intentionally small. When you work with the studio, you're working directly with me, from the conversations that uncover the big idea to the strategy behind it and the design that brings it to life. There's no creative-director-to-account-manager-to-junior-designer game of telephone. That means I get to know your business beyond a project brief. I understand why certain decisions matter, where you're trying to go, and what we're actually trying to accomplish together. And that relationship matters. Because the better I understand your business, the better I can design for it.
